Mithra Kurian (born Dalma Kurian), is an Indian film actress who appears in Malayalam and Tamil films. After appearing in supporting roles in two Malayalam films, she starred in two Tamil films, before essaying lead female roles and gaining attention in Malayalam cinema. Her portrayal of Sethulakshmi in Bodyguard (2010) won her critical acclaim and she went on to reprise the role in its Tamil remake Kaavalan. Her another notable role was in Rama Ravanan starring Suresh Gopi. She is related to noted South Indian actress Nayanthara.

Malayalam and Tamil actress Mithra Kurian married her long-time boyfriend William Francis on 26 January at Thrissur, which is William's hometown. Willam has worked as music programmer for more than 200 South Indian films. The couple apparently met during a star night in 2012 and fell in love. William is a native of Thrissur and Mithra is from Cochin. Mithra and William had announced their wedding plans in December. The actress had revealed that she had been dating William for some time now, and after the two told their parents about it wedding plans were made. The couple's engagement ceremony had taken place in Cochin, Mithra's hometown. The actress had also said that William and his family were very supportive of her acting career, but she is yet to decide if she will continue acting.Mithra had made her debut in 2004 with Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam movie "Vismayathumbathu", where she played the role of Nayanthara's friend. The actress later went on to act in the Malayalam and Tamil film industry. She did prominent roles in films like "Mayookham", "Gulumaal: The Escape", "Bodyguard", "Raama Raavanan", "Kaavalan", "Ulkam VChuttum Valiban", "Masters", "Grandmaster" and "Ladies and Gentleman".The actress has also won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2011, for her performance in Vijay-starrer "Kaavalan".
